What changed in Calliary 1.0.2. Each item lists what changed, where to find it in the app, and the chapter with the full explanation. The Mac app gets the same changes once 1.0.2 is out on the Mac App Store.

600 new stickers

600 stickers were added to “Originals” in the sticker drawer.

New packs“Vehicles”, “Sports”, “Places in town”
11 themesFruit, insects, dinosaurs, health, moods, electronics, money and shopping, drinks, toys, anniversaries, office
“World festivals”Festival stickers from 22 cultures. Inside the pack, they are divided under a subheading for each culture.

Inside “World festivals”, the culture of the device's region comes first, followed by Christmas and Halloween. The other cultures follow in name order.

The existing stickers were also redrawn at high resolution. They stay sharp even when you enlarge them after placing them on the calendar.

You pick stickers from the sticker drawer in decorating mode. Decorating is a Calliary Pro feature. How to place them is in Chapter 8 Decorating (Pro), “8-2 Placing and finding stickers”.

Sundays and holidays in red, Saturdays in blue

Settings ▸ Calendar display has a new “Show Sundays and holidays in red, Saturdays in blue” switch. On iPad and Mac, it is inside the “Lunar dates, holidays, solar terms” row in Settings ▸ Calendar display (“Lunar dates and holidays” in languages without solar terms).

  • When it is on, Sundays and holidays appear in red and Saturdays in blue in any theme.
  • The switch is off at first. While it is off, the theme's colors are used as they are.
  • If you picked Sunday, Saturday, or holiday colors in a theme yourself, those colors win. The text under the switch also says “Applies to every theme. If your theme has its own Sunday, Saturday or holiday colors, those are used.”
  • This switch is free.

How the switch and theme colors work together is in Chapter 3 The calendar screen and display settings, “3-5 「Calendar display」 settings”.

Holidays now appear in red in more places.

Invite friends event

During the event period, if 10 friends join a shared calendar you created, you get a code for a 1-year Calliary Pro pass. Friends who join through your invite also get a code for a 1-month pass.

Who receives itWhat they receive
The person who brought in 10 friends1 code for a 1-year Calliary Pro pass (once per Apple Account)
A person who joined through an invite1 code for a 1-month Calliary Pro pass (once per Apple Account)

The event appears as the “Invite friends to your calendar and get a 1-year pass” card at the bottom of “Manage this calendar” for the person who created the calendar. The card says “When 10 friends join your calendar, you get a code for 1 year of Calliary Pro. Invited friends get a code for 1 month too.”

  1. In Settings ▸ Manage sharing, tap or click a shared calendar. “Manage this calendar” opens.

  2. Tap or click “Invite friends” on the event card at the bottom. The screen for creating an invite code for this calendar opens.

  3. Create a code and send it to your friends with “Copy the invitation text” or “Share”. During the event period, the first line of the invitation text is “I'm inviting you to a calendar we share in Calliary! Join and you'll get a Pro 1-month pass too. Invite code: (code)”.

You can see your progress in the “Invite friends to your calendar and get a 1-year pass” row under “Calliary Pro” in Settings. The row shows the confirmed count, as in “3 / 10 people”. A friend who joined counts only after opening that calendar at least once in the Calliary app. A friend is confirmed as 1 person only if they are still in that calendar 48 hours after joining. Until then, they appear as “Being checked”.

When a code arrives, “Redeem now” opens the App Store redemption screen. You can also give it to someone else with “Give to a friend”.

For the detailed rules, check “Event rules” on the event card. The period, what counts, the code's use-by date, and the day the free period starts if you are subscribed are listed there. The screen that opens when you tap the event row in Settings also has “Event rules”.

How to create and send invite codes is in Chapter 7 Sharing, “7-3 Inviting people”. The “Edit Color palette” gift that unlocks when friends join is still given separately from this event (Chapter 7 Sharing, “7-13 Friend invite gift”).

Shared calendars and nicknames

You can now finish creating a second invite code, even for a shared calendar you have already shared. How to create several codes is in Chapter 7 Sharing, “7-3 Inviting people”.

Nicknames are now remembered separately for each Apple Account. If you switch Apple Accounts on one device, the nickname you set for each account is used as it is. How to set and change your nickname is in Chapter 2 Getting started, “2-2 The first launch”, and Chapter 7 Sharing, “7-8 Switching calendars and showing names”.
