개인정보 처리방침

꿀벌모빌리티(이하 ‘회사’)가 만든 펭귄뷰어는 회원가입이 없으며 이름·전화번호·계정 등 직접 식별 정보를 수집하지 않습니다. 서재·읽기 기록·통계 등 거의 모든 데이터는 이용자의 기기 안에만 저장됩니다. 회사는 이용자의 콘텐츠나 이용 기록을 받는 별도의 운영 서버를 두지 않으며, 광고·추적·분석 도구를 사용하지 않습니다.
제1조 회사가 수집하지 않는 정보
- 회원가입을 받지 않으며 이름·전화번호·이메일·계정 등 직접 식별 정보를 수집하지 않습니다.
- 광고 식별자(IDFA/광고 ID)를 사용하지 않으며 광고를 게재하지 않습니다.
- 사용 분석(Analytics)·추적(Tracking) 도구를 탑재하지 않습니다.
- 위치 정보를 사용하지 않습니다.
- 회사는 운영 서버를 통해 이용자의 개인정보를 수집·저장하지 않습니다.
제2조 기기 안에서만 처리되는 정보 (서버 미전송)
- 서재·만화 파일·읽기 진행·책갈피·독서 통계·앱 설정 — 이용자가 가져온 만화 파일과 그로부터 생성되는 데이터는 기기 내 저장소에 저장됩니다.
- NAS·WebDAV 접속 정보(이용자가 NAS를 연결한 경우) — 서버 주소·아이디·비밀번호는 기기의 보안 저장소(Keychain)에 암호화되어 저장되며, 오직 이용자가 지정한 본인 서버에 접속하기 위해서만 사용됩니다. 회사로 전송되지 않습니다.
제3조 처리 목적
- 만화·웹툰의 로컬 열람 및 읽기 환경 제공
- 기기 내 번역(번역 마법사) 제공
- 독서 통계·이어보기·위젯 표시
- 인앱 구매(평생 Pro) 권한 확인
제4조 네트워크 사용 및 외부 전송
회사는 이용자의 콘텐츠·이용 기록을 받는 운영 서버를 두지 않습니다. 앱이 네트워크를 사용하는 경우는 다음에 한합니다.
- 이용자 본인 서버(NAS/WebDAV) — 이용자가 직접 입력한 주소·자격증명으로 기기와 본인 서버 간에만 통신합니다(회사 미경유).
- App Store — 인앱 구매 및 구매 복원(Apple이 처리).
- 시스템 번역 언어팩 — 기기 내 번역을 위해 운영체제(Apple)가 번역 언어 모델을 내려받을 수 있습니다. 번역 대상 텍스트는 기기에서 처리되며 회사로 전송되지 않습니다.
그 외 회사 서버로의 개인정보 전송은 발생하지 않습니다.
제5조 보유 및 이용 기간
기기 내 데이터는 이용자가 앱 또는 데이터를 삭제하면 함께 삭제됩니다. iCloud에 동기화된 데이터는 이용자 본인의 iCloud 계정에 보관되며 이용자가 관리·삭제할 수 있습니다. 회사가 별도로 보관하는 이용자 개인정보는 없습니다.
제6조 클라우드 동기화 (iCloud)
이용자가 iCloud 동기화를 사용하는 경우, 서재·읽기 기록 등이 이용자 본인의 iCloud 계정에 동기화되어 기기 간에 이어볼 수 있습니다. 해당 데이터는 Apple iCloud에 저장되며 회사는 접근 권한이 없습니다. 동기화는 기기·시스템 설정에서 끌 수 있습니다.
제7조 기기 내 번역 마법사
번역 마법사는 만화 페이지의 글자를 인식(Apple Vision OCR 및 앱에 내장된 텍스트 영역 검출 모델)한 뒤 운영체제의 번역 기능(Apple Translation)으로 번역하여 그 자리에 표시합니다. 이 과정은 기기 안에서 수행되며, 만화 이미지나 인식·번역된 텍스트는 회사로 전송되지 않습니다. 번역 결과는 완벽하지 않을 수 있습니다.
제8조 결제 (인앱 구매)
‘평생 Pro’는 비소비성 1회 결제 상품으로 Apple App Store가 결제를 처리합니다. 회사는 카드번호 등 결제 수단 정보를 수집·보관하지 않습니다.
제9조 제3자 및 구성요소
회사는 이용자의 개인정보를 제3자에게 제공하지 않습니다. 서비스 제공을 위해 다음이 관여합니다.
- Apple — 인앱 구매 처리, iCloud 동기화(이용자 본인 계정), 시스템 번역 프레임워크.
- 이용자 본인 NAS/WebDAV 서버 — 이용자가 연결한 경우에 한해 이용자의 통제 하에 통신.
앱에는 광고·분석 SDK가 포함되어 있지 않습니다. 만화 압축 해제·텍스트 영역 검출에 쓰이는 오픈소스 구성요소(ZIPFoundation, Unrar.swift/UnRAR, 텍스트 검출 모델 등)는 모두 기기 안에서 동작하며 외부로 데이터를 전송하지 않습니다.
제10조 이용자의 권리 및 안전성 확보
이용자는 앱 안에서 서재·기록·설정을 직접 열람·수정·삭제할 수 있으며, 앱을 삭제하면 기기 내 데이터가 삭제됩니다. NAS 접속 정보는 연결 해제로 제거할 수 있습니다. 본인 서버(NAS/WebDAV) 및 Apple 서비스와의 통신 구간은 각 제공자의 보안(예: HTTPS)을 따릅니다.
제11조 아동의 개인정보
펭귄뷰어는 이용자가 직접 보유한 파일을 읽는 도구이며, 회사가 콘텐츠를 제공하거나 개인정보를 수집하지 않습니다. 회사는 만 14세 미만 아동으로부터 개인정보를 수집하지 않습니다.
제12조 정책 변경 고지
본 방침이 변경되는 경우 앱 또는 본 페이지를 통해 고지하며 ‘최종 개정일’을 갱신합니다.

Penguin Viewer, made by HoneybeeMobility (the “Company”), has no sign-up and does not collect directly identifying information such as your name, phone number, or account. Your library, reading history, and statistics stay only on your device. The Company operates no server that receives your content or usage records, and uses no ads, tracking, or analytics.
1. Information the Company does not collect
- No sign-up; we do not collect your name, phone number, email, or account.
- No advertising identifier (IDFA / Ad ID); no ads are shown.
- No analytics or tracking tools are embedded.
- No location data is used.
- The Company does not collect or store your personal data on any server.
2. Information processed only on your device (never sent to a server)
- Library, comic files, reading progress, bookmarks, reading statistics, app settings — the files you import and the data derived from them are stored in your device’s local storage.
- NAS / WebDAV credentials (only if you connect a NAS) — the server address, username, and password are stored encrypted in the device Keychain and used only to connect to your own designated server. They are never sent to the Company.
3. Purposes of processing
- Providing local reading of comics and webtoons
- Providing on-device translation (Translation Wizard)
- Showing reading statistics, continue-reading, and widgets
- Verifying the in-app purchase (Lifetime Pro)
4. Network use and external transmission
The Company runs no server that receives your content or usage records. The app uses the network only in these cases:
- Your own server (NAS / WebDAV) — using the address and credentials you enter, communication happens only between your device and your own server (not via the Company).
- App Store — in-app purchase and restore (handled by Apple).
- System translation language packs — to translate on device, the operating system (Apple) may download translation language models. The text being translated is processed on device and not sent to the Company.
No other transmission of personal data to a Company server occurs.
5. Retention
On-device data is removed when you delete the app or the data. Data synced to iCloud is kept in your own iCloud account, which you control and can delete. The Company keeps no personal data of its own.
6. Cloud sync (iCloud)
If you enable iCloud sync, your library and reading history can sync through your own iCloud account so you can continue across devices. That data is stored in Apple iCloud and the Company has no access to it. You can turn sync off in device or system settings.
7. On-device Translation Wizard
The Translation Wizard recognizes text on a comic page (Apple Vision OCR and a text-region detection model bundled in the app) and translates it using the operating system’s translation feature (Apple Translation), drawn in place. This runs on your device, and neither the comic images nor the recognized/translated text is sent to the Company. Translation results may not be perfect.
8. Payments (in-app purchase)
“Lifetime Pro” is a one-time, non-consumable purchase handled by the Apple App Store. The Company does not collect or store payment details such as card numbers.
9. Third parties and components
The Company does not provide your personal data to third parties. The following are involved in providing the service:
- Apple — in-app purchase processing, iCloud sync (your own account), and the system translation framework.
- Your own NAS / WebDAV server — only if you connect it, under your control.
The app contains no ad or analytics SDKs. Open-source components used for archive extraction and text-region detection (ZIPFoundation, Unrar.swift / UnRAR, the text-detection model, etc.) all run on device and send no data externally.
10. Your rights and security
You can view, edit, and delete your library, history, and settings within the app, and deleting the app removes on-device data. NAS credentials can be removed by disconnecting. Communication with your own server (NAS / WebDAV) and with Apple services follows each provider’s security (e.g., HTTPS).
11. Children’s privacy
Penguin Viewer is a tool for reading files you already own; the Company neither provides content nor collects personal data. The Company does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 14.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will notify you through the app or this page and update the “Last updated” date.
