17-1What is free and what Pro unlocks
Calliary offers writing events and sharing them for free. Calliary Pro unlocks five tools for decorating and designing your calendar.

Along with these five, the Calliary mark is removed from image exports. Below the benefits list on the purchase screen it reads “With Pro, calendar images are saved without the Calliary mark.”
Decorating and the brush button
The brush button on the calendar screen enters decorating mode. Free users see the brush button too. When a free user taps the brush button, the purchase screen opens and shows what Pro includes. Tapping the MEMO box on the calendar briefly shows “Decorating opens with Pro. Tap the brush to see what Pro includes.” The brush explanation in the first-use guide also ends by saying that brush decorating opens with Pro.
In a shared calendar, each person needs their own Pro to decorate. Even if the owner has Pro, free participants cannot decorate. Events are written together according to each participant's permission, regardless of Pro (7-5 Who can do what).
Your photo stickers
“Make a cutout sticker”, which cuts a photo into a sticker, is part of Pro decorating. The stickers you make collect in your sticker list, and below the list you see how many you have made so far and the limit.
The Calliary mark on image exports
Calendar images made for free carry a small Calliary mark in the corner. On the image export screen, free users see “The image carries a small Calliary mark in the corner.” and “With Pro, the image is saved without the Calliary mark.” Images from Pro users carry no mark.
“Decorate with stickers” and “Draw” in the diary
For free users on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, the “Decorate with stickers” chip on the diary writing screen appears with a lock and a “Pro” label. On iPad, the “Draw” chip for drawing with Apple Pencil appears the same way. Tapping a locked chip opens the purchase screen.
17-2Plans, free trial, and Family Sharing
You buy Calliary Pro as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription, or a lifetime pass. Payment goes through your Apple Account. All three plans unlock the same Pro features.

To mark Calliary's launch, it is sold at the launch price until January 31, 2027. From February 1, 2027, it is sold at the regular price. During this period, the plan cards on the purchase screen carry a “Launch price” badge, and “Launch price until January 31.” appears below the list. If a subscription card has the badge, the note “Subscribe during the launch period and keep this price for as long as you stay subscribed.” follows. For people who keep subscribing at that price after the period ends, the “Your plan” card shows “Launch price kept”. When a subscriber views the purchase screen, the card of the plan they use carries a “Your plan” badge.
Prices in other countries differ by country. The actual amount you pay is shown on the purchase screen and in the App Store payment window.
Where to open the purchase screen
- Tap Settings ▸ “Calliary Pro”. For free users, the purchase screen opens right away.
- Tap a locked Pro feature. The brush button on the calendar screen, the locked chips on the diary writing screen, Pro items in the icon set and font pickers, your photo stickers in the sticker picker, “PDF export”, and Pro items in Calendar Studio open the purchase screen.
Free trial
Monthly and yearly subscriptions come with a 1-month free trial. The subscription cards on the purchase screen show “1 month free”, and the purchase button changes to “Start 1 month free”. When the trial ends, the first payment for the chosen plan is made, and after that it renews automatically until you cancel. If your account can use the trial, the purchase screen also shows “Cancel at least 24 hours before it ends and you pay nothing.”
The free trial is once per Apple Account. If the account has already used the trial, the purchase screen shows “This Apple Account has already used its free trial.” and the purchase button is “Subscribe”. The lifetime pass has no free trial.
If you open the purchase screen during the trial, “Free trial · ○ days left” appears at the top. Check whether you are in a trial and when it ends in Settings ▸ “Calliary Pro” (17-3 Checking, managing, restoring, and canceling a subscription).
Family Sharing
All plans support Apple Family Sharing. The purchase screen reads “Family Sharing on all plans”, and the lifetime pass card reads “Buy once and share it with your family through Apple Family Sharing.”

Checking your current status
The “Calliary Pro” row at the top of the first Settings screen shows your current status with the description below it.

For subscribers, the top of the Pro management screen shows “Your subscription is running”, with the plan and status below it. If auto-renew is on, it is one line with the plan name. During the free trial and when auto-renew is off, a separate status line appears under the plan name (“Monthly” or “Yearly”). If the app could not check the status, only the plan name appears.

When auto-renew is confirmed to be on (including during the free trial), the bottom of the screen shows “Your subscription renews on its own until you cancel it. Cancel any time in Manage subscription — you keep Pro until the paid period ends.” If you turned auto-renew off, it shows “Auto-renew is off, so you won't be charged again. You keep Pro until the time shown above. You can turn it back on in Manage subscription.”
If you have the lifetime pass, “You have the lifetime pass” appears.
Managing and canceling a subscription
Tap or click Settings ▸ “Calliary Pro”.

iPhone, iPad: Apple's subscription management window opens inside the app. Cancel your Calliary subscription in this window.
Mac: The App Store opens. Cancel your Calliary subscription in the App Store.
“Manage subscription” appears only while you are subscribed. Even after you cancel, you use Pro until the period you already paid for ends. After you cancel, the status line on the Pro management screen changes to “Auto-renew off · Ends ○○”.
Restoring a purchase
If you changed devices or reinstalled the app, get your pass back with “Restore purchase”. “Restore purchase” is at the bottom of the purchase screen and on the Settings ▸ “Calliary Pro” screen.
Check that the device is signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with.
Tap or click Settings ▸ “Calliary Pro”.
Tap or click “Restore purchase”.
If a window asks for your Apple Account password, enter it.
The result appears as one of the following.

If you tap “Cancel” in the password window, the restore ends without a message.
17-4Yours for life and subscriptions
The lifetime pass is paid for once. It has no auto-renewal and no next payment. The purchase screen introduces the lifetime pass as “Around two and a half years of the yearly plan.” On the same Apple Account, you unlock it again with “Restore purchase” even after changing devices. The bottom of the Settings ▸ “Calliary Pro” screen reads “The lifetime pass has no subscription and never renews. Change your device and Restore purchase brings it back on the same Apple Account.”
The bottom line of Settings ▸ About also shows your status. Free users see “Calliary · besides subscriptions, there’s also a lifetime pass”, lifetime pass users see “Calliary · you’re using the lifetime pass”, and while subscribed (including the free trial) this line does not appear.
Buying the lifetime pass while subscribed
Buying the lifetime pass does not cancel a running subscription automatically. Payments for the subscription stop only when you cancel it yourself.
If you buy the lifetime pass while subscribed, the “You already have a subscription” window appears before payment and says “Buying the lifetime pass does not cancel your subscription — Apple keeps charging it until you cancel. We'll show you where to cancel right after the purchase.” Tap “Get Lifetime Pro” to continue, or “Cancel” to stop.
When the purchase is complete, the “One last step” window says “The lifetime pass is yours. Your subscription is still running, so cancel it in your Apple Account to stop being charged twice.” Tap “Cancel my subscription” to open the subscription management window. Tap “Later” to only close the window.
When someone with the lifetime pass opens the purchase screen, “You have Pro” and “Every Pro feature is unlocked.” appear instead of the plan cards.
17-5After Pro ends
When a canceled subscription or a free trial period ends, Calliary goes back to free. Once you are on free, you use only the free features in the 17-1 table.
Decorations you placed
Stickers, notes, photos, and drawings you placed on the calendar and diary while on Pro stay visible. On free, only editing is locked: placing new decorations, moving them, resizing them, and deleting them.
If your Pro period ends while you are in decorating mode, decorating mode closes and “Your Pro period ended, so decorating closed.” appears. After that the brush button stays with a lock, and tapping it opens the purchase screen.
Shared calendars
In shared calendars too, whether you can decorate is decided by your own Pro. When your Pro ends, your decorating in that calendar is locked as well, and you keep adding and editing events and to-dos according to your participant permission.
In a calendar with “Only the owner decorates” on, only the owner decorates, regardless of Pro (7-5 Who can do what).
Themes made while on Pro
Themes already applied to a calendar during your Pro period stay as they are after you go back to free. If, after going back to free, you newly apply a saved theme or create a new calendar, the colors are kept, and the shape, details, and Pro fonts change to the free look.
The icon set you chose
If you were using a Pro icon set and go back to free, the icon set changes to “Pink pastel”. When you have Pro again, it returns to the icon set you were using.
Back to Pro
If you subscribe again or buy the lifetime pass on the purchase screen, decoration editing and the Pro tools open again. You can also move and edit the decorations you already placed again.
17-6Color palettes you can unlock for free
If you invite friends, you can unlock “Edit Color palette” without Pro. The conditions and scope are as follows.
- Condition: A friend joins a share you made. It also opens if you join a share a friend made.
- Scope: Only “Edit Color palette” opens. Sticker and brush decorating do not open.
- Duration: Once it opens, you keep using it. It stays open even if you reinstall the app.
The app introduces this gift as “Get a friend started and color palette editing opens up as a gift.” This text appears in “Manage this calendar” for calendars not yet shared and in the cycle sharing settings. If you have a subscription or the lifetime pass, it also appears in the “Invite & gift” box on the Settings ▸ “Calliary Pro” screen. How to invite in detail is in 7-13 Friend invite gift.
When the gift opens, a card titled “A gift arrived” appears. The person who invited sees “A friend joined you.”, the person who was invited and joined sees “You joined a friend's calendar.”, and then “Color palette editing is unlocked.” appears along with where to use this feature. Tap “Nice!” to close the card.
For someone who already has Pro, “It's Pro, so everything is already open.” appears instead of “Color palette editing is unlocked.”
