Garim Privacy Policy

Article 1. Information We Process

Garim does not collect information that directly identifies you, such as your name, phone number, email, or account. Because Garim has no company server and makes no network requests for processing, it also does not collect your IP address, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or location information. What Garim handles is the following, and all of it is processed solely on your device:

• Videos and photos you select: limited to the files you yourself load for face-hiding.
• Processed output: the resulting video with masking applied, preview thumbnails, a processing history (date/time, settings, etc.), and a one-page PDF certificate.
• On-screen face positions: temporary coordinates (rectangles) that exist only in memory during frame processing and are discarded immediately. See Article 3 for details.
• In-app purchase and credit status: status values needed to provide features, such as whether a purchase was made and credit balance (see Articles 6 and 7).

None of this information is transmitted to the company.

Article 2. Purpose of Processing

Garim processes information only for the following purposes:

• Providing de-identification that hides faces and text (license plates, name tags, etc.) in videos with mosaic/blur.
• Providing editing features such as automatic hiding of all faces, keeping only the people you want visible (on-screen position tracking within the video), manual review (adding missed faces, setting time ranges per region), adjusting mosaic/blur strength and shape, and preserving original audio. Here, "position tracking" means following a subject's on-screen position within the video frames; it is unrelated to GPS or geographic location.
• Creating and keeping a processing history and a one-page PDF certificate (on device).
• Providing features via in-app purchases (credits/subscription) and managing purchase and credit status.

Article 3. Face Data

Face data is not retained.

• Garim uses Apple Vision to detect only the on-screen position of a face (a bounding box, a rectangle) in video frames. This is solely to determine the area to hide; Garim does not recognize faces or identify individuals.
• Garim does not create or collect any face data such as a faceprint, a facial template, or a biometric identifier.
• Detected position values exist only temporarily in device memory while the frame is being processed, and are discarded immediately afterward and never stored.
• All detection and processing happen entirely on your device, and no face data is stored, kept, uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any third party.
• Garim does not send any face data to a third-party AI service.

Article 4. Photo and Video Access Permission

Garim uses Photo Library or file access permission only to load the video you yourself select for face-hiding. Garim does not scan your entire library and does not access other photos or videos you have not selected. None of the content loaded under this permission is uploaded or transmitted externally.

Article 5. On-Device Storage

The resulting video, preview thumbnails, and processing history (including the one-page PDF certificate) are stored only on your device. The company cannot access this data. You can delete this data within the app, and it is deleted from your device when you delete the app.

Article 6. iCloud Sync

Your purchase and credit status may sync between your own devices through your personal iCloud (Key-Value Store) for convenience. This takes place within your own iCloud space provided by Apple, and the company does not access this data. The company does not sync your videos, photos, or processed output. iCloud use follows your device and Apple ID settings.

Article 7. Payment Information

Garim offers credits (consumable, per use) and a Garim Pro subscription (monthly/annual, auto-renewing) via in-app purchase. There is no free trial; without purchase, Garim provides a watermarked preview of the first 30 seconds of the video.

• All in-app purchases are processed through the Apple App Store (StoreKit). Payment-method information such as card numbers is not collected or stored by the company; it is handled by Apple.
• Subscriptions auto-renew for the period you select (monthly or annual), and the renewal charge is billed to your Apple account before the current period ends (typically within 24 hours). You can cancel (turn off auto-renewal) and manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings; turning off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends stops the next charge.
• Refunds and withdrawals of purchase are governed by Apple App Store policy. The company cannot process payments or refunds directly, and refund requests must be made through Apple. Consumable credits may not be refundable once used.

Article 8. Third-Party Disclosure, Analytics, and Advertising

• Garim does not provide your videos, photos, or personal information to any third party.
• Garim does not collect advertising identifiers and does not include any third-party analytics or advertising SDK.
• Garim does not transmit any data to a third-party AI service. All processing is performed on your device using Apple's on-device technology.

Article 9. Retention Period and Destruction

The company does not collect or keep your information on any server, so it retains nothing. Retention and destruction of data created on your device are as follows:

• Face position values: discarded immediately after frame processing and never stored.
• Resulting videos, thumbnails, processing history (PDF): kept on your device until you delete them or delete the app, and you can delete them at any time.
• When you delete the app, the related on-device data is deleted along with it.

Article 10. Children's Privacy

Garim is not directed to children and does not collect the personal information of children under the age of 14. Garim does not collect any user's personal information to a company server.

Article 11. Your Rights and Security

Because Garim processes all data only on your device, you can directly access, correct, and delete your data within the app, and you can remove all related data by deleting the app. The fact that all processing is on-device with no external transmission is central to security. Important: Automatic face detection is not 100% accurate, and small, side-facing, or partially obscured faces may be missed. You must therefore review the result yourself before exporting (saving or sharing) a video, and responsibility for any omission lies with the user who processes and distributes the video.

Article 12. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised as laws or the service change, and any change will be announced together with its effective date. We will provide notice of significant changes through this page.

Article 13. Business Operator and Privacy Officer

Garim is provided by HoneybeeMobility. The Privacy Officer role is held by the representative. Privacy-related inquiries and requests to access, correct, or delete data are received at the email below.
